“Thika Chief Magistrate Arrested with KSh 2 Million in Cash Hidden in Laptop Bag”

Thika Law Courts Chief Magistrate Stellah Atambo is currently under investigation by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC). She faces accusations of accepting bribes in exchange for influencing cases within her jurisdiction.

The EACC officials raided her home and seized KSh 2 million, which they suspect to be proceeds of corruption. Atambo, however, denied the allegations, claiming the money belongs to her husband.

The EACC launched an investigation into Atambo following complaints that she had been demanding and receiving bribes while handling cases in her court.
