
Moses Wetangula is a Kenyan politician who currently serves as the Senator for Bungoma County. He is also a former Minority Leader in the Senate.
Wetangula held the position of Minister for Foreign Affairs from 2008 to 2010 and again from 2011 to 2012. He also served as the Minister for Trade between 2012 and 2013.
Before becoming a senator in January 2013, Wetangula represented Sirisia Constituency in the National Assembly from February 2003.
The Wetangula family has a strong political presence, with his brother Tim Wanyonyi serving as the Member of Parliament for Westlands. His other brother, Fred Wetangula, is a businessman in Nairobi, and he also has a younger sister, Emmeryncian Naswa.
Less known to many, Wetangula worked as a magistrate for one year before resigning to pursue private practice.
As an advocate for anti-corruption, he has consistently called on key institutions, including the Controller of Budget, the Auditor-General, the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI), and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), to monitor and scrutinize public spending.
