Minimum Requirements
For placement through KUCCPS, candidates must meet the minimum academic requirements for the respective programs. To apply for a degree program, a candidate must have achieved at least a C+ (plus) in their KCSE. For a diploma program, a C- (minus) is required, while for a certificate course, a minimum grade of D+ (plus) is necessary.
KUCCPS further clarifies that only candidates who apply through its portal will be considered for placement in the courses they select. To be eligible for a specific program, applicants must also meet the minimum admission requirements as published on the KUCCPS Students’ Portal.
“Placement is done on merit, with an Affirmative Action Criteria (including gender, persons with disabilities, and marginalized regions) applied to improve access to higher education,” KUCCPS explained. However, securing a spot in a preferred course remains a competitive process, influenced by the qualifications of all applicants and the availability of spaces in the program.
How to Apply

KUCCPS advertises placement application opportunities through both print and electronic media. Applicants must log in to the KUCCPS Student Portal at students.kuccps.net, where they will need to enter their KCSE index number, the year of their examination, and their password. Students are advised to use their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) index number as the password.
This announcement comes shortly after KUCCPS revealed that it would soon open its portal for university course applications.
