Triply – Co is an innovative travel tech company transforming the way people plan and experience travel. We are looking for a Senior UI/UX Specialist to help us craft seamless, intuitive, and engaging digital travel experiences. This role is focused on designing and optimizing user interactions, ensuring an effortless journey for travelers.

Key Responsibilities

Take ownership of the UX design process, from user research and journey mapping to wireframing and prototyping.
Act as a strategic consultant, offering expert advice on user experience best practices and industry trends.
Conduct user research through usability testing, interviews, and data analysis to refine design decisions.
Develop user personas, journey maps, and information architecture to enhance usability.
Design intuitive, accessible, and visually appealing interfaces that comply with WCAG accessibility standards and brand guidelines.
Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to bring designs to life.
Mentor junior designers, fostering best practices in UX methodologies.
Present design concepts to stakeholders, backing decisions with data-driven insights.
Establish and maintain design systems to ensure a consistent user experience across platforms.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related discipline.
A minimum of five years in UI/UX design, including at least three years in a senior or leadership role.
A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in solving complex design challenges with user-centered solutions.
Advanced proficiency in industry-standard design tools like Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Hands-on experience with prototyping tools such as InVision, Principle, or ProtoPie.
A solid grasp of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
Demonstrated experience in conducting user research and translating insights into actionable improvements.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform design decisions.
Excellent communication and presentation skills for explaining design concepts to various audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field.
Background in consulting or agency settings, working with multiple clients.
Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Vue, and Nuxt.
Experience in developing and maintaining design systems and component libraries.
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Certifications in UX design, such as Google UX Design or NN/g UX Certification.
Experience in designing mobile applications and responsive web interfaces.
Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.

Job Type: Contract
Compensation: KES 120,000 per month, based on output. Compensation varies depending on the number of story points produced per sprint.
