“Barack Obama Reacts to Viral Cherry Blossom Photobomb Picture”

Former President Barack Obama Comments on Viral Cherry Blossom Photobomb

Former President Barack Obama has shared his thoughts on the now-viral photobomb that took place during a recent visit to the cherry blossoms in Washington, D.C.

The 44th president was spotted in the background of a photo of two children posing under the cherry blossoms, which was posted on social media on Tuesday.

“Preston and Belle, I hope you enjoyed peak bloom!” Obama commented on the photo shared by the children’s mother, Portia Moore. “My bad for stepping into the shot,” he added, acknowledging his unintentional photobomb.

The Photobomb Moment

The photo, taken on Monday and shared on Tuesday, captured a family’s cherry blossom photo shoot when they realized former President Obama had casually strolled past in the background. The children, Preston and Belle, are seen posing in front of the Tidal Basin and the Washington Monument.

Portia Moore, who was distracted by her son Preston during the shoot, later recounted the moment on Instagram. She wrote, “After the shoot was done, I picked Preston up and asked Damien, ‘What were you saying?’ He replied, ‘That was President Obama who just walked by.’ I ran to the photographer and asked her if she got the picture. She scrolled through, and BOOM—there it was! The perfect shot!”

Photographer’s Take on the Moment

Photographer Briana Inell shared a similar account on her Instagram, calling it “the best photobomb ever.” She added, “This is why you get to the Tidal Basin at sunrise on a weekday! You never know who you’re going to see!”

Obama’s Take on the Day

For his part, Obama also shared his experience of the day on Instagram, posting a pair of cherry blossom photos. “It’s fun to be able to play tourist once in a while,” he wrote. “The cherry blossoms were beautiful this morning!”
