A 17-year-old girl who went missing on Monday, March 10, was found dead in a sugarcane plantation in the Migingo area. The teenager, a Form 4 student preparing to sit for her Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams this year, tragically met her untimely death. Her decomposing body was discovered partially clothed, with neck bruises suggesting foul play.

The girl’s family in Muhoroni sub-county is in mourning following her death. The student, a candidate at Nyando Mixed Secondary Day School, was reported missing by her parents after she failed to return home. Concern grew, and the discovery came when residents noticed dogs in the area carrying human body parts, raising alarm and leading them to the source.
