Trump Toughens Tariff Stance on China, Says No Rollback Without Major Concessions
U.S. President Donald Trump took a firmer position on tariffs against China on Friday, stating that he would not consider rolling them back unless Beijing provided “something substantial” in return. He also noted that a further 90-day suspension of tariffs on imports from most other countries was “unlikely.”

When asked what specific concessions he expected from Beijing, Trump said he would like to see greater openness in China’s economy.
“That would be great. That would be a big win,” the president told reporters aboard Air Force One. “But I’m not even sure I’m going to ask for it because they don’t want it open. They don’t want it open
